Locations: Four main districts—Charoenkrung–Talat Noi, Phra Nakhon, Pak Khlong Talat, Banglamphu–Khao San—and other areas across Bangkok

Bangkok is set to welcome the return of “Bangkok Design Week 2026” (BKKDW2026), marking its 9th consecutive year. The international design festival is organized by the Creative Economy Agency (CEA) in collaboration with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, alongside public and private sector partners, educational institutions, international organizations, and creative-district networks.

This year’s festival brings together creators, designers, entrepreneurs, developers, and the public to expand the role of design beyond aesthetics—positioning design as a practical tool to drive economic growth and enhance quality of life. The 11-day festival runs from 29 January to 8 February 2026, across Bangkok’s key creative districts and citywide locations.

Three Key Pillars of “DESIGN S/O/S”

• S – Secure Domestic: Driving new standards to energize and strengthen the domestic market
• O – Outreach Opportunities: Creating new opportunities and collaborations to reach the global stage
• S – Sustainable Future: Exploring new pathways for long-term resilience and readiness for future challenges

A Citywide Creative Experience

Visitors can explore over 350 creative activities across Bangkok’s creative districts, showcasing how design integrates seamlessly with the urban context. The program also includes more than 30 youth capacity-building initiatives from 10 educational institutions, preparing the next generation for careers in the creative industries.

The festival features talks, workshops, creative events, and neighborhood tours developed through close collaboration between communities and designers—stimulating tangible area-based development into creative business districts. In addition, international collaborations with designers from over 16 countries, design markets, city-activating events, and special privileges from local shops and restaurants collectively convey the power of Thai design—not only as ideas, but as real-world experimentation within the city, driving Bangkok toward recognition as a globally watched creative city.
