Expo 2027 Belgrade
The Expo 2027 Belgrade will take place from May 15 to August 15, 2027, spanning 25 hectares in Serbia’s capital. It will welcome 130+ countries and attract an estimated 4.1 million visitors.
The theme, “Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All”, highlights the universal power of sports and music to foster global unity, creativity, and innovation. The expo will feature interactive exhibitions, groundbreaking research, and cultural programs designed to address global challenges through collaboration.
Historical Background: The World Expo began in 1851 in London as The Great Exhibition at Crystal Palace, showcasing industrial and scientific innovations. Over the past 170+ years, Expos have introduced iconic landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower (Paris 1889) and Atomium (Brussels 1958), while serving as platforms for unveiling new technologies. Expo 2027 Belgrade marks the first Specialized Expo hosted in the Western Balkans, continuing this legacy of innovation and cultural exchange.
