EASL Congress 2026

The EASL Congress 2026 – Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of the Liver will take place from May 27–30, 2026 at Fira Barcelona Gran Via, Spain. It is Europe’s largest hepatology congress, attracting 8,000+ participants from 130 countries, with 2,000+ abstracts and 190 scientific sessions.

The programme covers the full spectrum of hepatology, including basic, translational, and clinical research. Highlights include late-breaking abstracts such as D&D Pharmatech’s Phase 2 trial results for MASH treatment candidate DD01 and Precision BioSciences’ gene-editing therapy PBGENE-HBV for chronic hepatitis B. The congress also features networking sessions, women in hepatology forums, and live pitch opportunities for collaborations.
