Patch the World – Between the Seams, Beyond the Surface

Patch the World – Between the Seams, Beyond the Surface is a contemporary art exhibition presented by Queer Art Thailand and Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, or BACC, during Pride Month.

The mixed-media exhibition brings together works by more than 20 artists from Thailand and across Asia to explore queer lives, bodies, memories, and relationships through fragments, tensions, and unfinished states of being.

Key Highlights & Activities

The exhibition presents works across various media, including painting, textile, video, and mixed media. It is curated by Dr. Morakot Meyer from the Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia, Mahidol University.

The project is initiated and driven by Dr. Wichai Imsomsuk, Theerpatit Boonwijitnitithorn, and Queer Art Thailand’s collaborative art and cultural network. The initial list of participating artists includes Michael Shaowanasai, Padungpong Saruno, Tom-Theerachat Phothisit, Dr. Red-Kritsadang Intasorn, Karma Sirikogar, Kritmeth Seethan, and Piyada Na Pattalung.

Beyond the main exhibition at BACC, the project also extends to partner venues including MATDOT Art Center, Ming Art Space, and BNC Creatives, with related queer art exhibitions, talks, performances, and special activities to be announced.
