The 39th annual “Phra Nakhon Khiri – Mueang Phet” Festival is scheduled to take place from February 20 to March 1, 2026, at Phra Nakhon Khiri (Khao Wang) and surrounding areas in Phetchaburi Province. Held under the theme “Celestial Palace of Phra Nakhon Khiri: Gem of Siam,” the event aims to honor all Thai monarchs, promote historical tourism, and elevate Phetchaburi as a creative city of global recognition.
This year’s celebration will feature ten grand royal tribute processions, each beautifully portraying different historical eras and royal legacies. Pre-festival rituals include a city pillar shrine ceremony, Buddhist chanting, and a tribute to the royal monument on February 6, 2026, to bless and prepare the event.
The festival will be held in full scale across the Phra Nakhon Khiri National Museum, the King Mongkut Memorial Park, and nearby venues. It is supported by a 10-million-baht provincial development budget to ensure the event’s stature as a national cultural showcase.
Locals and visitors alike are invited to immerse themselves in the historical beauty, cultural richness, and pride of Phetchaburi throughout ten days and nights of celebration.
