THE WAGASHI, Japanese Food, Crafts, and IKEBANA Festival

A traditional Japanese sweets festival, this year invites 8 master wagashi chefs from 8 renowned Japanese shops to showcase their special creations exclusively for the event. Additionally, over 30 Japanese craft booths will be present, along with live demonstrations of IKENABA, the art of Japanese flower arrangement.


Special Highlights:

  • November 14-17, 2024: Meet the 8 master wagashi chefs from renowned shops in Japan:
  • Hiromori Uchida from Ganyudo, Shizuoka
  • Yasuhiro Hikiami from Hikiami Kogetsudo, Toyama
  • Noboru Iwasa from Shirohei Rouho, Shiga
  • Tomokazu Sunaga from Aoyagi Seike, Tokyo
  • Shintaro Sato from Noshiume Honpo Satoya, Yamagata
  • Shuhei Yamaguchi from Saiundo, Shimane
  • Yoshitaro Hanai from Noshiume Honpo Satoya, Aichi
  • Shogo Shibuya from Nagomi no Yoneya, Chiba


  • November 14, 2024, 16:00 onwards: Special guests and performances, including:
  • Philm Thanapat, a famous actor sharing his passion for Japanese culture and traditional sweets.
  • Ryota Omi as the event host.
  • Traditional Japanese dance by Nakamura Rumi, a professional dancer and winner of the 2020 Cool Japan Contest.
  • Shingo Sakata performing juggling, with 16 years of experience internationally.


  • November 11-22, 2024: Japanese craft showcases featuring fashion, home decor, and unique items such as:
  • Kintsugi (Japanese pottery repair art) by Kintsugi Link.
  • Heritage Of Benjarong by Thai Isekyu, featuring traditional Thai ceramic work.
  • Japanese clothing brand MUAK and leather brand Gamuu.
  • Goodglas Double Wall glassware with new collections.


  • November 23-26, 2024: Ikebana Exhibition (IKIENABA): Enjoy the beauty of various flower arrangements in the Ikebana exhibition presented by Ikebana International Bangkok Chapter 177, along with Ikebana schools like Ikebono, Sogetsu, and Ohara.


  • November 14-23, 2024: Japanese-style workshops, including:
  • Wagashi making demonstrations by the featured chefs.
  • Traditional Japanese tea ceremony by Fumiko Buy, President of Urasenke Tea Ceremony Association.
  • Kintsugi workshop to repair broken ceramics (with a fee).
  • Ikebana flower arrangement classes by Shuhei Aizu from Ganon Florist (with a fee).
