Mao–Mong–Muang: Khlong Phadung – 22 July Circle
Mao–Mong–Muang is an architectural walking tour that invites participants to see Bangkok beyond first impressions—uncovering stories embedded in buildings, canals, streets, and everyday urban life.
This route follows the west bank of Khlong Phadung Krung Kasem to the 22 July Circle, tracing Bangkok’s urban expansion from the reign of King Rama IV through the development of road, canal, and railway networks in the Rama V era, to modern city planning in the Rama VI period and contemporary adaptive reuse.
Participants will explore historic shophouses, infrastructure, and public spaces, observing materials, usage traces, and community narratives that reveal the city as a living, evolving organism.
