Festival of Quilts 2026

The Festival of Quilts 2026 will run from July 30 – August 2, 2026 at the NEC Birmingham, UK, organized in partnership with The Quilters’ Guild. It is recognized as Europe’s largest patchwork and quilting show, drawing 22,000+ visitors annually.

Key highlights include the world’s largest open quilt competition, international textile galleries, and 300+ workshops, talks, and demonstrations for all skill levels. Renowned quilters such as Ricky Tims and Joe Cunningham will headline the event, offering masterclasses and lectures.

The show also features 200+ exhibitors selling fabrics, threads, kits, sewing machines, and quilting supplies, making it the ultimate marketplace for enthusiasts. Special projects such as Transmissions (quilts for trans communities), Speak Their Name (memorial quilts), and the Grief Quilt for Palestine will also be showcased, reflecting the social and cultural impact of quilting.
