Phayao Walk and Wonder opens Heuan Tew Yan, tells the story of Kwan Phayao, an activity to open the Kwan Phayao creative district, which brings together community networks, creators, artists, entrepreneurs, and local agencies to join together to expand the potential of the Kwan Terrace area, creating a district full of happiness and creative energy.
Phayao Walk and Wonder opens its doors to tell stories of local people on Ratchawong Road and Tha Kwan, inviting everyone to walk, stop, wonder, and fall in love with Phayao together through highlight activities, starting from Street Art, art exhibitions from local artists and craftsmen of various generations, workshops to learn about Phayao through art, scents, food and drinks made from local ingredients. In addition, there is a creative market, music, and discussions about opportunities and potential of Phayao in the future.
Open House Activities: Ratchawong Road and Tha Kwan
- Kad Ratchawong - Tree Lovers' Road: A creative market for tree lovers, where you can find craft works, local products and community activities.
- Street Art: Outdoor art reflecting the identity of Phayao people through the perspectives of artists and the community.
- Kwan'ner Art Space: Open house for new generation artists from various generations to join the discussion and exhibition “River Meet in Kwan(ner)” along with a workshop on scent and candle face painting by imluck.
- Tree House Story Shop: “Homemade Happiness”, a warm space of inspiration, healing activities: watercolor, ceramics, crochet, beaded bracelet making, and Cooking Happiness: inviting people to cook (food) together, open the front garden corner, and watch a small exhibition inviting people to find happiness in the neighborhood together.
- HIPSTER STEAK: A workshop on traditional Thai coconut pancakes and smelling salts from the Wiang Wiang community enterprise
- baanbaann: “PYOTASTE” Learn about famous local ingredients. Stories tell the story of Phayao through the perspective of food and coffee tasting by baanbaann in collaboration with The Joint Carpentry and I Amm Doi Coffee Farm.
- Baan Boran: Wine Tasting & Cocktail activity using Phayao ingredients with live music from the T. Na Mong group and Music by Studio.
This activity is part of the project to promote and develop the potential of the Northern Creative Economic District Network, Phayao and Phichit Provinces, operated by the Creative District Network Group, entrepreneurs, communities, government agencies and educational institutions, Phayao Province, in collaboration with the Creative Economy Agency (Public Organization), Chiang Mai.
