Magha Purnami Festival Kalasin 2026

The Magha Purnami Worship Festival – Isan Tung Sea Kalasin 2026 is a major cultural and religious festival reflecting the spiritual identity and traditional heritage of Northeastern Thailand. The festival is held at Muang Fa Daet Song Yang Historical Site and Phra That Yakhu, one of Kalasin’s most important archaeological and religious landmarks.

The event showcases the beauty of traditional “Tung” decorative flags displayed as a large-scale cultural installation, alongside religious ceremonies, cultural performances, community markets, and heritage storytelling activities.

This festival also represents Thailand’s cultural soft power by promoting community tourism, supporting local entrepreneurs, and preserving traditional Isan cultural wisdom for future generations.
