31st Book World Prague International Book Fair

The 31st Book World Prague International Book Fair and Literary Festival will take place from May 14–17, 2026 at the Prague Exhibition Grounds (Křižík Pavilions).

The festival’s dramaturgy focuses on two themes: “Europe” and “History”. The Europe theme highlights both canonical works and emerging voices from across the continent, while the History theme draws inspiration from Milan Kundera’s words: “The struggle of man against power is the struggle of memory against forgetting.” It will explore how literature reflects and preserves historical experiences. The program includes author readings, panel discussions, film and theater adaptations of books, and outdoor cultural spaces named after classic Czech authors. Book World Prague continues to be the largest literary event in the Czech Republic, attracting international publishers, writers, and readers.
